Dr. Mohammad Abdul Zahid

Digital Application Architect (AI/ML) at Hatch
Dr. Zahid Mohammed is an accomplished AI and digital solutions leader with over 15 years of global experience spanning academia, industry, and entrepreneurship. He completed his Ph.D. at IIT Roorkee, where he was awarded the IBM Outstanding PhD Student Award (2007) and served as Student President. He later conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Waterloo, applying deep learning techniques to predict ICU mortality. Dr. Zahid began his industry career at Samsung Electronics in South Korea, where he contributed to the early development of the Samsung Galaxy smartphone line. He went on to found InI Labs, creating the popular iStudy app, which has been downloaded by over 150,000 students across India. His entrepreneurial journey also included work with a sports-tech startup, where he helped build the world’s first remote hockey competition platform. Currently, Dr. Zahid serves as Digital Application Architect (AI/ML) at Hatch, where he leads the design of digital twins and advanced analytics solutions for the mining, infrastructure, and energy industries, driving innovation and digital transformation.
